No claim is settled without your written permission.

Discounts and payment options
We offer new doctor, part-time practice, risk management, and voluntary deductible discounts to name a few.  Standard payment schedule is quarterly, but do we have other options available.

Claims-made coverage
This coverage protects you from claims filed while a policy is in effect.  Standard coverage is $1million per claim/$3 million annual aggregate.

Retroactive coverage (nose)
This coverage protects you from claims filed on incidents during a previous policy's coverage period.

Tail coverage
Tail coverage protects you from claims filed after a policy has expired. If the physician has been a member of NMIC for five or more years, free tail coverage is provided upon the physician's full retirement. Free tail coverage is also provided if the policyholder suffers permanent and total disability or in the event the policyholder dies.

Extended leave options
We offer discounted extended-leave options for military deployments and certain other involuntary obligations approved by the company.

Entity coverage
Upon request we offer shared or separate limits of liability.
